Yes, for international flights. Domestic flights do not require a passport.
Your passport remains the best internationally-accepted evidence of your citizenship. It may be required for any number of financial or legal transactions abroad, and cannot be replaced if stolen while you are away, unlike a birth certificate or a drivers license.
You and your family need valid passports for travel to the Bahamas, including return travel back into the United States. Never assume otherwise. For more information on passports and Visa, please go to http://travel.state.gov or http://www.myoutislands.com.
Non US Citizens are also required to have a valid US Visa.
All passenger information is required to be presented upon booking. Your exact name, gender, passport number, expiration date, citizenship, date of birth, passenger weight and contact information will be required. Please also provide a phone number that we may contact you in the Bahamas.
One bag and one personal item per person is recommended, not to exceed 40 TOTAL pounds per person. Because Air Unlimited’s planes are not equipped with additional carry-on storage space, you may only bring aboard one personal item, such as a laptop computer, briefcase, or purse, and said item must fit underneath your seat for takeoff and landing. Air Unlimited retains the right to refuse luggage over 40lbs based on best safety practice and aircraft loading capabilities.
Soft-Side or Duffle bags only. Bags are not to exceed 52 inches in overall dimension (length+width+height). We do allow soft sided bag coolers up to 28 quarts.
Air Unlimited is a pet friendly airline! A pet fee of $75, per pet, will be applied to your reservation. Any passenger travelling with a Pet must call our office before making their reservation to ensure there is room for the Pet onboard. We have a limit of two pets on each flight and they must belong to the same owner or family. If you do not call the office before creating your booking and another passenger with a pet is already booked on the flight, your booking is subject to cancellation or a date change. However, if both parties agree in written communication stating that their pets are tolerable to fly with one another an exception will be considered. Air Unlimited does not transport any live animals in our cargo area. The Captain reserves the right to have the pet crated during flight if he feels it is necessary. The Captain has the final authority to reserve the right for pets to be loaded and may refuse pets for any safety of flight reasons.
International travel requires all pet owners to provide official documents concerning vaccinations and proof of good health in both the Bahamas and the USA.
For the USA: There are new requirements for anyone traveling with a pet from August 1st, 2024 and onward. All dogs entering or re-entering the USA must be microchipped & have up to date vaccinations. For the Bahamas: The Commonwealth of the Bahamas also requires a permit issued from the Ministry of Agriculture, Trade & Industry and certain restrictions do apply. You must have all required paperwork and permits with you when traveling with your pet(s). For travel to the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, an import permit is required from the Ministry of Agriculture, Trade & Industry, and certain restrictions do apply. Please have all necessary documentation ready before your flight.
With a charter flight, the passenger is paying for the entire aircraft and includes positioning the aircraft at passenger preference for pickup. It also includes dead-head time and any wait times.

Yes. Your ticket is assignable (one time only) to a spouse or other immediate family member up to 48 hours prior to original scheduled departure date at no additional charge. Tickets will not be eligible for reassignment if within 48 hours of the departure time.
No TSA lines or scans are necessary. However, Air Unlimited reserves the right to inspect and approve all baggage and/or personal items.
Air Unlimited does not provide Unaccompanied Minor (UM) service to and from international destinations. All minors traveling on Air Unlimited must be accompanied by an adult.
All passengers must arrive 1 hour prior to flight departure time. Doors to aircraft close 20 minutes prior to scheduled departure and will not be re-opened until arrival at destination.
All US passengers are required to provide a valid state issued I.D/Drivers License and passport. A passport is also required for international (Bahamas) travel. Non US Citizens are required to have a valid US Visa. We are NOT an ESTA approved carrier and do not accept ESTA.
You will clear Bahamian Customs and Immigration upon arrival into Bahamas. A departure tax directly to the Bahamian government in the amount of $36.00 CASH (US or Bahamian cash) is required when you depart the Bahamas is included in your ticket fare. Upon arrival back into the Orlando-Sanford International Airport, you will clear US customs and taxi (in the aircraft) back to our hangar. If you do not have a car parked with us you may leave through the main terminal once you have cleared customs.
