National Donate Life Month: How Air Unlimited Plays a Role in Organ Transportation
Did you know that every ten minutes someone is added to the national transplant waiting list? With so many people waiting for a lifesaving match, it is crucial that the organ being donated is delivered to the person in need with the utmost care and as quickly as possible. April is National Donate Life Month, but Air Unlimited participates in the organ transportation donation process year-round.
While waiting for an organ that could be a match is one of the biggest challenges of the organ donation process, many people may not realize the right organ could become available at a moment’s notice anywhere in the country. Then the struggle becomes getting that organ to the donor in need quickly. This is where pilots like those at Air Unlimited are called into action.
The team at Air Unlimited goes above and beyond their 9 to 5 jobs to help save lives. Pilots have made themselves available at all hours of the day and night because of it. The team never knows when they might get a call saying that there was a terrible accident, and a liver is now available for the next person on the national transplant list. Co-founders Chick Gregg and Mark Neubauer know when the phone rings in the middle of the night, their quick actions could help save a life. They have jumped at the opportunity to fly wherever is needed, usually transporting a team of doctors and technicians or sometimes just transporting a cooler containing an organ on ice – the crucial piece for the patient eagerly awaiting it. The reality is grim, but the outcome can be immeasurable.
Over the years, Air Unlimited has worked closely with Florida Hospital’s Transplant Institute, regional hospitals, and other agencies to complete dozens of organ transportation flights right here in Florida. Whatever the call of duty, whether it’s flying a family to an island vacation or flying an organ to a patient in need, the pilots at Air Unlimited take pride in every single flight.

Pet-Friendly & Stress-Free Flights to the Abaco Islands
There’s nothing worse than getting ready to leave on an amazing vacation and looking into your dog’s sad puppy eyes as you close the door. Many pet owners are faced with boarding their pets or hiring someone to pet sit in their home while they are gone. Boarding comes at a high cost and has many risks for your pet. Hiring someone you trust enough to come into your home can come with even higher risks and a higher cost. Air Unlimited believes that if you want to take your pet on a flight to the Abaco Islands, you should be able to. Flying with your pets can be a stressful experience, but not with Air Unlimited. Our employees are pet lovers themselves, so they go above and beyond to treat your pets like their own. Pets don’t get stowed in the cargo area or overhead bins when they fly with Air Unlimited. Instead, they get to fly in the cabin next to their owners so they can enjoy the ride stress-free. They are treated with the utmost care, and many places in the Abacos have the same standards.
The best option for pet-friendly lodging in the Abacos is renting a home through Airbnb. You get the comfort of staying in a house and the convenience of being able to walk your dog in someone’s yard, instead of resort property. This also gives wary dogs the privacy to bark as much as they want without disturbing neighbors on the other side of the walls. Another option, similar to renting a house, is to stay at the SeaSpray Resort & Marina. It is home to two bars and restaurants, as well as Bahamian-style rental villas. You have the choice of staying in a variety of oceanfront villas with views of both the Atlantic and the Sea of Abaco. The villas offer more than enough room for a full house plus a furry friend. If you’re not sure if a hotel allows pets, just give them a call. They are happy to work with customers to give them the best Abaco experience.
Almost every restaurant in the Abacos has outdoor seating. With water so blue it seems unreal and sunsets that look like they’ve been pulled from magazines views as beautiful as the Abacos, why wouldn’t you want to be outside? Luckily, this means that your dog can tag along for lunch. Coco Beach Bar & Grill is the perfect place to grab a Bahamian drink and local grilled favorites. This casual outdoor venue leads right onto the beach and has picnic tables, lounge chairs, plus kayak and banana boat rentals. Overall, if you’re traveling with a well-behaved pup, you’ll be allowed on any patio.
Let Air Unlimited give you and your pet the island travel experience of a lifetime. Be sure to call Air Unlimited at 407-585-4300 before booking your ticket to reserve a spot for your pet.

Take Your Party on a Private Plane
Planning any party can be tricky to coordinate. From the date and time to the food and drinks, it can be overwhelming to even think of guests to invite. When you’re planning a party out of the country, it gets even trickier to coordinate travel options for everyone. The Abacos are some of the most beautiful islands in the Bahamas for destination weddings, bachelorette parties, and more. Air Unlimited offers safe and reliable transportation to the Abacos in sleek and elegant private planes to get your party there in style.
The benefits of flying your party to the Abacos on a private plane far outweigh flying separately on a commercial flight. Not only will everyone arrive at the same time, but they can also enjoy a private plane experience with food and champagne for up to nine of their closest friends. We allow guests to bring their own food and beverages in soft sided coolers, instead of charging an absurd amount of money for a tiny bag of pretzels. We know you’re going to the Abacos to have fun and celebrate, so why not start in a private plane on your way there?
Have you ever looked out the window of a Boeing 737 at the gate and watched an airline employee hurl bags from the plane to the cart? Yeah, we have too. That’s why Air Unlimited takes the utmost care when handling passengers’ luggage. When you’re having a destination wedding in the Abacos, you will have to fly with some precious cargo. The dress, the rings and the makeup all need to be handled with care. Another benefit of flying in a private plane with Air Unlimited is that your luggage and carry-on bags are included in the price of your ticket, rather than costing you money with extra fees tacked on by the airline.
One of the best parts of flying on a private plane is that your furry friend can come with you! Air Unlimited is pet friendly and allows two pets per flight, so you won’t ever have to leave your pet at home to miss out on the island adventure.
Take your party over the top by flying your guests there in a private plane. If you want an unforgettable destination party, the journey there and back should be just as special. Visit Flyairunlimited.com to book your private plane to the Abacos today!

The Most Passionate Crew at the Orlando-Sanford International Airport
It’s no secret that Air Unlimited is a family-oriented company. It’s part of what makes the customer service and travel experience with them so friendly and inviting. Did you know that Chick and Lisa, two of the partners, are married? Their daughter-in-law works for the business as well. Air Unlimited is the kind of business where employees go out of their way to make passengers feel like family.
Every member of Air Unlimited is motivated by how much they love their jobs and their interaction with passengers. Co-founders Mark Neubauer and Chick Gregg have had the same vision for Air Unlimited since its inception: to build a reliable flight company that would give passengers the absolute best travel experience of their lives. Mark prides himself on ensuring that Air Unlimited restores some of the lost nostalgia that was so common in air travel of yesteryear. He loves hearing positive comments from guests and getting to interact with them on a daily basis. Amber Horne, the office administrator, and Melissa Manchester, the office manager, say that the best part of their jobs is getting to know all of the passengers and, of course, the passengers’ four-legged friends.
The passion that the Air Unlimited pilots have for flying is almost tangible. Pilot Gregg Rupp says flying is in his blood. Pilots Dave Owen, Alan Griffin, Chick Gregg and Mark Neubauer all had fathers or grandfathers who were pilots. Growing up hearing stories about their family members’ experiences sparked an interest in aviation in each of them at a very young age.
Dave’s grandfather opened the first airport in his hometown of Wabash, Indiana. He spent much of his childhood with his grandfather around the airport and building model airplanes, but Dave never seriously considered a career in aviation until his grandfather passed away. Dave’s third-grade teacher told him that he would never find a job just staring out the window – he proved her wrong after becoming a pilot.
Not all pilots at Air Unlimited had family members who motivated them to fly. Ed Moon loves flying simply because it changes the way the world looks and gives him the ability to get somewhere fast. Ron Bernard’s love of aviation started with the model airplane collection he had as a kid. Flying with Air Unlimited continues to inspire these pilots each and every day.
When you fly with Air Unlimited, you know that you are in good hands. Book a flight with Air Unlimited, and meet the most passionate crew at the Orlando-Sanford International Airport. Your stress-free trip starts at www.flyairunlimited.com.

A flight to the Abacos with Air Unlimited means flying in style and experiencing first-class VIP treatment. The King Air 200 flies exclusively to the Abacos and seats nine people in comfy reclining seats with plenty of legroom. This is the perfect opportunity to grab nine of your closest friends to get a private flight experience – without the private flight fees. Don’t worry if you don’t have nine people in your party. Air Unlimited will still fly if the flight isn’t completely booked by other parties. You’re also able to bring your pet on the plane at no additional cost, so your furry friend won’t have to be left behind during your spring break to the islands.
The next essential ingredient to a perfect spring break is finding a place to stay. The Abacos are home to the most magnificent resorts, cottages, and Airbnbs, so finding the right one will be easy. Nothing beats the privacy of a beach front house with a dock for your newly rented 20-foot Boston Whaler, but if you’re looking for more of a party, head over to the bigger resorts on the island like Bahama Beach Club and Green Turtle Resort. These locations will keep you busy with restaurants, pools, golf courses, activities and excursions that take off from the hotels.
It wouldn’t be spring break without the perfect island cocktail in hand. Luckily, the Bahamas has a special drink that was created in the islands, and the Blue Bee Bar is the place to get it. The Goombay Smash is a popular drink to order throughout the Bahamas. Many bars in the Bahamas have their own recipe for this drink, but it’s believed that Miss Emily created the first Goombay Smash and served it out of her Blue Bee Bar from the early 60’s until she passed away in 1977. Her family continues to run the bar and keep her recipe a secret. You can find this delectable rum drink in the iconic Blue Bee Bar in Green Turtle Cay. They also sell jugs of Goombay Smash, so you can take it with you to enjoy throughout your time in the Abacos.
The Abacos is the perfect place to enjoy your spring break. Let your vacation begin from the minute you get to the airport and book with Air Unlimited for a stress-free exclusive flight experience. Visit Flyairunlimited.com to start planning your spring break.

Take a Flight to Treasure Cay for the Most “Instagrammable” Locations in the Abacos
The thrill of visiting a new place and discovering its beauty is why people continue to travel. Living in the moment and immersing yourself in a new environment is amazing, but the photos that document your trip will be what you look back on for years to come. Air Unlimited is here to help you find the most memorable and “Instagrammable” locations after your flight to Treasure Cay.
If you’ve seen pictures from the Bahamas, you’ve probably seen the adorable and hungry pigs that swim in the ocean. Luckily, these pigs are just a hop, skip, and boat ride away from the Treasure Cay Airport. Brendal’s Dive Center is a trusted name in the Abacos, and Brendal himself leads tours to find these precious pigs. There are several day trips available through Brendal’s Dive Center, but one of the most popular is the Sunday Island Hopping Tour. He provides the best Island Punch in town while taking visitors to nearby must-see destinations. This tour stops at No Name Cay, where guests can feed the pigs in the water or on the beach. You won’t be able to resist taking pictures to show your friends just how adorable these pigs are. They are very familiar with humans and can’t wait to greet you with their curious snouts.
Going to the beach is an absolute must while you’re in Treasure Cay. The beach at the Treasure Cay Beach Marina & Golf Resort is a great place to start. Their award-winning beach is considered one of the best in the entire Caribbean. It is three miles of secluded white sand and crystal clear blue water. You can grab an umbrella to relax under and sip on an umbrella drink while you’re at it. The beach also has sand peninsulas that are visible during low tides. These are not common at most beaches and give visitors the unique experience of walking a far distance into the ocean without having to swim.
Fishing may seem like a lot of luck and waiting to some people, but Captain Mark knows it’s more than that. Captain Mark’s Fishing Charters can almost always guarantee that every guest will catch a fish. With literally thousands of hours spent on the water in the Bahamas, Captain Mark knows how to think like a fish. He can teach you everything you need to know about trolling in deep waters and bottom fishing near the reef. Whether you catch a snapper or a marlin, you’ll want to get a photo kissing your first catch for good luck.
The beauty of Treasure Cay is everywhere. Take time to enjoy it, but don’t forget to snap a few photos of your favorite places and experiences. The flight to Treasure Cay is also a prime photo opportunity! Air Unlimited offers daily scheduled service flights in their gorgeous King Air 200s. Take A Private Plane to Explore Off the Beaten Path
The Abaco Islands are known for crystal clear blue waters, pristine beaches and tranquil hideaways, but they are also home to many intriguing and historic landmarks that a lot of tourists and locals alike tend to overlook. With a private flight to the Abacos and an appetite for adventure, you can set out to discover what lies off the beaten path.
To some passersby, Ye Ole Gaol, The Old Jail just looks like an old pink building. Built in the early 1800s, this structure is one of the oldest buildings on Green Turtle Cay. It doubled as the island’s original post office and commissioner’s office. It used to be a much larger building than what is left on the island today. Back in 1932, a hurricane destroyed most of the jail and left the building with just the first floor and a staircase on the outside of the building. The Architectural Preservation Foundation of Green Turtle Cay has worked to preserve the jail in its dilapidated form with its bright pink paint – a stark difference from the 200-year-old cemetery across the street.
The red and white striped Elbow Reef Lighthouse in Hope Town is one of the island’s top tourist attractions and offers a gorgeous view of Hope Town Harbour and beyond. However, there’s another lighthouse on the island that gives visitors a view of what life was like when it was built in 1838. The Hole in the Wall Lighthouse stands on the southeast coast of Great Abaco at the end of a one lane dirt road. The 15-mile road stretches through the Bahamas National Trust, which is protected land and home to the endangered Abaco parrot. Visitors are welcome to climb the rickety stairs to the top to gaze out at open ocean and uninhabited land, a rare sight for many.
Spending an afternoon at the Albert Lowe Museum can give you a break from the sun and a chance to see centuries of island history from photographs, paintings, sculptures, artifacts, model ships, written documents, quilts and more. The building is part of the history as well. It was a Loyalist home that survived a devastating hurricane in 1932. Alton Lowe, a Green Turtle Cay local artist, purchased it and began restoration efforts in 1975. He named the museum after his father, who was a well-known model ship maker.
History is everywhere in the Abacos, but there are some things that require a closer look. Air Unlimited can get you to the islands on a private plane in just over 60 minutes. Visit Flyairunlimited.com to plan your next adventure today.

Give Back to the Abacos After a Flight to Marsh Harbour
What if you could give back to the environment just by sipping cocktails and dancing the night away? You can! All you need is a flight to Marsh Harbour and a ticket to the annual Reef Ball. Air Unlimited can get you there with their above and beyond customer service and quick, convenient flights.
The Abaco Islands are home to very unique and beautiful plants and animals on both land and sea. The unfortunate truth is much of the fish population is overfished each year, and other marine animals are constantly in danger from boat propellers and human interference. The islands are also at-risk due to pollution and destruction of land. Friends of the Environment is committed to preserving and protecting the Abacos, and one day achieving sustainable living for its wildlife and people. Much of their work is done through educating the public, and they have done this through more than 12,000 classes at 25 schools in the Abacos.
The Reef Ball is one of the organization’s biggest fundraisers every year. This event funds many of the educational programs and community activities offered through Friends of the Environment. This year the Reef Ball will be held in Hope Town on February 10th and in Marsh Harbour on February 24th. Tickets are just $110, and each event includes a silent auction, live auction, dinner and dancing. They also have tickets available for those who just want to dance and enjoy the live music for just $25. The Hope Town Reef Ball will be at the Abaco Inn, a serene beachfront resort. The Marsh Harbour Reef Ball will take place at the waterfront Jib Room restaurant, and will give guests the true local experience. The Reef Ball is a highly anticipated event, and it’s one of the easiest and most fun ways to support Friends of the Environment in their preservation endeavors.
Friends of the Environment has other events throughout the year to allow people to see how their hands-on work is helping the environment. The Lionfish Derby is a contest for boaters to catch as many of the invasive lionfish as they can, in order to save the native fish which are competing for food and being fed on by lionfish. The Turtle Trot is another annual event that helps raise funds and awareness for Friends of the Environment. It’s a 5K run and family walk held on Thanksgiving Day, similar to the Turkey Trots held in the U.S. Friends of the Environment also holds coastal clean ups in April and September to collect trash along the beaches, and log data of what kind of items are picked up and disposed of.
Friends of the Environment has become an important part of the community in the Abaco Islands. Air Unlimited can help you join their cause by offering reliable and affordable flights to Marsh Harbour. It’s not too late to attend the annual Reef Ball. Book your flight to Marsh Harbour by visiting Flyairunlimited.com and purchase your Reef Ball tickets here.

Catch a Flight to Abaco Islands for the Best Fishing Tournaments
‘Tis the season for fishing tournaments in the Abacos! This is the best time of year for the local fishermen and those who travel far and wide to compete in some of the best tournaments in the Caribbean. Luckily, Air Unlimited can take you on a direct flight to the Abaco Islands and safely transport you and your fishing gear* so you can get there quickly and enjoy the season stress-free.
The next fishing tournament in the Abacos is the Sea Spray Abaco Challenge on February 7th. This tournament includes four days of fun and is hosted out of the Sea Spray Resort & Marina. Unlike most fishing tournaments, the Sea Spray Abaco challenge is all about friends, family and fish instead of harsh competition. Each day begins with breakfast for the competitors and concludes with dinner and entertainment at the resort. If you’re new to the competitive fishing world and just want to get your feet wet, this is the tournament for you.
The Abaco Beach Resort and Boat Harbour Marina is the hub for many fishing tournaments this year. This is home base for many competitors because it’s so convenient to stay in a beautiful resort and head out for the tournament at the marina right outside the window. The Abaco Beach White Marlin Tournament is taking place at the Boat Harbour Marina from April 18th through the 21st. This is the first leg of the Abaco Diamond Series, and it’s the perfect transition from sailfish to blue marlin season. You won’t want to miss the ultimate tournament to kick off the season.
The Custom Boat Shootout is an invite-only competition, and all proceeds go to charity. The competition kicks off in the first week of May and is one of the most prestigious tournaments, as competitors are chosen from the cream of the crop. Charities that benefit from this tournament include the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, IGFA and Joe DiMaggio’s Children’s Hospital.
The second leg of the Abaco Diamond Series is The Shootout: Production vs. Custom on May 16th through the 19th. This tournament is all about the boat, a fisherman’s most prized possession. The tournament will judge production boats versus custom boats and try to settle the age-old debate of which is best.
The final leg of the Abaco Diamond Series is The Abaco Beach Blue Marlin Tournament. This is where the best of the best will compete to win the big kahuna. This tournament takes place in the height of marlin season from May 30th to June 2nd, and it’s your chance make your dreams come true and catch big blue.
There’s nothing more exhilarating than hitting the open waters for a chance to bring home the prize! For a complete list of 2018 fishing tournaments, head over to Bahamas.com. If you see a tournament that catches your eye, visit Flyairunlimited.com to book your flight to the Abaco Islands today.

What Can You Bring on Your Scheduled Island Flight?
Traveling internationally can be tricky when you want to bring home beautiful keepsakes from your vacation. Luckily, when you take a scheduled island flight to the Abacos with Air Unlimited, you can avoid some hassles like exchanging money or dealing with those long customs lines. We’ll explain exactly what you can bring back from the Abacos on your return flight to avoid any hiccups in your vacation.
Upon arrival at Air Unlimited’s private hangar in the Orlando-Sanford International Airport, guests are greeted with a relaxing lounge area, instead of a rush of security lines and TSA employees barking orders. After a 90-minute scheduled island flight, you will arrive at either the Treasure Cay Airport or the Marsh Harbour Airport, depending on your travel plans. Bahamian customs officers will check your bags, but you should know that you can bring any items that are in compliance with the FAA regulations. You can find a list of FAA regulations here.
You are allowed to bring your own alcohol and water bottles on the plane, but once your luggage exceeds 40 pounds, extra fees will apply. It’s also important to note that you will need to bring cash, since credit cards are not accepted in most places on the islands. You will also need cash once you arrive in the Bahamas for a departure tax that is collected by Bahamian Customs and Immigration. It is 29 dollars and is not included in your plane fare.
A good rule of thumb is you should never take any wildlife home with you. Remember that saying, “take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints”? Keep that in mind as you explore the beautiful beaches that are covered in sea shells and native plants.
There are multiple national parks in the Abacos that protect the land and water that they inhabit. If you find yourself visiting any national parks, you will definitely not want to take anything home with you. These areas are protected by law, and there are hefty fines for those who try to take home the flora and fauna.
Once you arrive back at the Orlando-Sanford International Airport, your bags will be checked by U.S. customs before returning to Air Unlimited’s hangar. You should keep any receipts from your trip to provide the amount of duty-free purchases that you’re returning with.
Let Air Unlimited show you how easy flying internationally can be. No lines, no stress and just 70 minutes between you and your vacation. Feel free to call Air Unlimited at 407-585-4300 with any other pre-or post-flight questions.

Discover Wildlife in the Abacos after Your Flight to the Bahamas
Parrots and grouper and conch, oh my! These are just a few of the animals that make the Abaco Islands such a unique place to visit. After your flight to the Bahamas, you might be so focused on the resorts and restaurants, that you may miss some amazing wildlife that could be right in front of you.
Some wildlife is hard to miss, like the spotted dolphins that like to swim in shallow water off the shore. Others, like the Nassau grouper could be overlooked if they’re still juveniles. If you’re snorkeling in the Abacos, you’ll see hundreds of colorful fish of all shapes and sizes. The Nassau grouper is not the most beautiful fish, but it is endangered and protected. These brown and tan fish frequent the waters around the Abacos, where juveniles are only about a foot long. Adults, however, can grow up to 55 pounds and more than 3 feet long. These gentle giants like to swim in both shallow and deep water, which makes it even easier for greedy fisherman to overfish the species. There is a strict closed fishing season for the groupers from December to February, due to their decline.
The Abaco Parrot is one animal that you will hear before you see. You can spot them in trees, but you’ll have a better chance of seeing these bright green birds on the ground, which is where they nest. They find limestone holes in forest floors to lay their eggs away from predators. Their wings are speckled with blue, their faces are white, and they have deep pink feather plumes on their necks. Their coloring makes them easy to recognize, but locating them is the hard part. These birds are concentrated in South Abaco, so if you want to see these beauties, you’ll have to head to Marsh Harbour or Abaco National Park.
You’ve probably seen a conch shell, or at least a fake conch shell, at your local home décor store, but have you seen the animal that lives inside of those beautiful shells? Conchs are sea snails with stalk-based eyeballs that protrude from under the shells that they call home. The sea snail is often overfished for tropical delicacies like conch fritters and conch salad. Many tourists may be tempted to take a conch shell home with them, but beware, that may be an animal’s home!
These are just a handful of the incredible animals that make up the diverse ecosystem in the Abacos. Book your flight to the Bahamas with Air Unlimited, and discover what other amazing animals the Abaco Islands are home to.

From the Orlando-Sanford International Airport to the Perfect Spot for a New Year’s Kiss
What does your perfect New Year’s Eve kiss look like? Picture yourself standing on the beach with your toes in the sand, wrapped in the arms of your favorite person and watching fireworks over the water. Now compare that to being bundled up in what feels like a million layers and still freezing, while falling snow melts on you as you’re crammed with hundreds of other people behind a barricade, just to watch something you can watch on TV. This year, Air Unlimited would like to take you directly from the Orlando-Sanford International Airport to a place more like the first scenario, for a night you’ll never forget.
The great thing about the Abacos is that there is plenty to do and see without having the hustle and bustle of a big city. The islands are a relaxing breath of fresh air and the perfect place to kick off the new year.
If you’re looking for an intimate early night, the Abaco Beach Resort is the place to go. This year, they are hosting a four-course meal that can easily be the best dinner of 2017. Dinner starts with a salad all dressed up with champagne dressing, followed by a lobster and pumpkin bisque and a palate cleanser of frozen grapes and sparkling champagne. For the main course, guests can choose from prime rib, lobster thermidor or Cornish game hen. The dessert is a tropical baked Alaska that is bound to leave you stuffed and happy. After an incredible dinner, a romantic walk on the beach under the stars is just what you need to close out an amazing year.
If you’re looking for more of a party, the Waterfront Bash at the Treasure Cay Resort is a great spot to toast the night away. There are party packages to fit everyone’s needs, and they have events from 5 pm until the party ends. One package offers guests a four-course meal, champagne toast, and Junkanoo masks for the masquerade on the beach after dinner. After counting down to midnight in the sand, hold onto your masks for the annual Junkanoo Parade.
The New Year’s Day Junkanoo Parade is a biannual tradition in the Abacos. It is a celebration with beautiful colors and sounds that takes place the day after Christmas and on New Year’s Day. There are competitions for the parade participants in music, dancing and costuming. Designers create their costumes from cardboard and add patterns or layered crepe paper and papier-mache. The parade begins at noon in New Plymouth and continues through the night.
The Abacos is a beautiful place year-round, but it gets even more magical for New Year’s Eve. Any spot on the islands would be the perfect place for a New Year’s kiss. Visit Flyairunlimited.com to learn how you can have an unforgettable New Year’s Eve.

Ed Moon’s Flight to Treasure Cay
Here at Air Unlimited, our pilots eat, sleep, and breathe aviation. Most of our pilots even love to fly or rebuild airplanes in their spare time. A few of our pilots have dedicated their lives to flying and decided at a very young age to pursue careers in aviation. Ed Moon is one of these pilots. You may have already met him on a flight to Treasure Cay.
Ed decided that he wanted to be a pilot when he was just 14 years old. This might seem a bit ambitious for a teenager, but with his passion and dedication, he knew he could make it happen. He pursued his dream via a long career that eventually brought him to join Air Unlimited’s skilled team of pilots, who all pilot flights to Treasure Cay and Marsh Harbour.
It is difficult for Ed to pick a favorite place that he’s flown to, because he’s been to 50 states and 13 countries. For him, it’s easier to choose his favorite locations based on their elevation. Leadville, Colorado at 10,152 feet, Death Valley, California at 282 feet and Kitty Hawk, and North Carolina at seven feet are three of his favorites. The Abaco Islands are at the top of his list as well. He never tires of the ocean views and loves visiting Treasure Cay. Before he joined the Air Unlimited team, he had visited the Abacos many times, so he was familiar with the island life. He’s adapted to the relaxed island culture and even finds himself sitting in a swing on his dock to unwind after a long day.
Like our other pilots, Ed’s love for flying extends past his work duties. When he’s not flying with us, he’s usually flying his seaplane and enjoying the view over any body of water. He plans to add to his experience by learning how to fly helicopters. He mentioned that if he wasn’t a pilot, he would be an engineer, which is fitting as both careers require a lot of hard work and extensive training.
If you’re on a flight piloted by Ed Moon, make sure to ask for suggestions for things to do in Treasure Cay! For more information on Air Unlimited, visit Flyairunlimited.com.

Unplugging and Reconnecting on a Private Flight to the Abacos
We’ve all seen it. Some of us have even been guilty of it. You sit down for a nice dinner with your family and then, like second nature, you pull out your phone and immerse yourself in the small digital world inside the palm of your hand. It doesn’t take long before someone notices and calls you out for paying more attention to your phone than your family. Sometimes, we just need a break from the ordinary to remind us to disconnect from our busy lives. One way to do this is by taking a private flight to a place where phones are no match for nature’s beauty. Luckily, Air Unlimited provides that experience with private flights to the relaxing and beautiful Abaco Islands.
The Abacos are part of the Bahamas Out-Islands, away from the hub of the heavily crowded tourist areas. They are home to white sandy beaches, exotic wildlife and fresh Bahamian seafood. Aside from the fact that you won’t get cell service in most places on the islands, the atmosphere is breathtaking enough to keep everyone off their phones. Forget e-mail, Facebook and Instagram. There are plenty of tours and activities for all ages and levels of adventure to fill every minute with memorable experiences.
The flight to the Abacos is an adventure in itself. After arriving at Air Unlimited’s private hangar located at the Orlando-Sanford International Airport, guests can relax for a few minutes in the exclusive pre-flight lounge. All flights to the Abacos are in our King Air 200s, which seat a maximum of nine people. There’s a chance that your family could be the only guests aboard your specific flight. Even if others book the same flight, it is a completely different experience when compared to commercial flights, where the entire experience is a hassle from busy security lines to cramped airplanes. At Air Unlimited, every seat is first class. Each window offers an impeccable view of the ocean and islands as you approach the Abacos.
A private flight to the Abacos is the perfect way for families to reconnect this holiday season. Take a break from the cold weather making its way across the US, and enjoy an island getaway in the sunny Abacos. Don’t know when to book? No problem. Air Unlimited offers gift certificates, so you can buy now and choose the dates later. Click here to book your private flight today.

Why a Flight to the Bahamas is the Perfect Gift
Instead of giving your loved ones another knickknack with a gift receipt, give the gift of sun, sand and relaxation this holiday season. A flight to the Bahamas will be remembered much more fondly than another “Live, Love, Laugh” sign or an uncomfortable pair of socks. Giving experiences instead of material items is becoming more and more popular for the holidays. Plus, a flight to the Bahamas is the perfect way to get away from any cold, gray weather and end the year on the right note.
Air Unlimited is making it easier than ever to give the gift of travel. You can purchase holiday gift certificates on our website that are redeemable for one year. This way, you won’t have to guess the dates that would work best for your loved one or ruin the surprise by trying to figure out when they would want to travel. The gift certificates can be used for either Treasure Cay or Marsh Harbour.
The holiday season can be the most stressful time of the entire year. Between battling through the mall and coordinating family dinners, deciding what to buy everyone on your list can be a daunting task. If you buy a gift certificate for everyone, or even just for that special someone, at least one gift is hassle free. A gift certificate can sometimes seem like a last-minute gift that isn’t very personal, but you can add to it by including a travel plan that you know your loved one will enjoy. Include a map of the area or make your own gift certificate saying things like “One beach day with no cell phones,” or “Dinner is on me.”
The Abaco Islands are a very unique place and offer everything from luxury to casual experiences. A fun way to add mystery to your gift is to give someone things they will need for their trip without giving them the gift certificate first. Imagine the look on your mom’s face when she unwraps a mask, snorkel and pair of flippers in the middle of winter in Ohio!
Raise the bar this holiday, and take someone on a flight to the Bahamas with Air Unlimited. Visit our website to purchase a gift certificate today! Give the perfect gift now and choose the perfect dates later.
