Air Unlimited Debunks Common Flight Myths
There are a range of flight myths circulating, and Air Unlimited is here to debunk four of these common misconceptions:
Myth 1: Planes Can Basically Fly Themselves
The famous “auto-pilot” mode on an airplane is often depicted in movies as a replacement for the real pilot, steering and flying the aircraft seamlessly by itself. In reality, auto-pilot is merely an advanced GPS and support system, so it’s crucial to have a human operating the flight. This is especially true during take-off and landing. Therefore, pilots have a great responsibility in making sure every flight arrives safely. That’s why our pilots at Air Unlimited are certified at the highest level and are available to discuss the flight with travelers before or after a trip.
If you want additional proof that a plane doesn’t fly itself, we invite you to book a trip with us to see our pilots in action. Every seat in our plane has an excellent view of the cockpit, where you can watch the pilot maneuver the aircraft. Upon request, or as part of our Junior Pilot Program, passengers can also book a trip in the co-pilot seat for an up-close and personal flight experience.
Myth 2: Flying Private or First-Class is Too Expensive
Many people think flying private or first-class is reserved for wealthy travelers. Contrary to this belief, many commercial flights offer affordable upgrades and reward programs for earning top-notch seats. Better yet, flying in a private plane doesn’t have to be a fantasy. Air Unlimited offers the perks of flying private for commercial prices through its book-by-the-seat scheduling system. Travelers can affordably book a trip to the Abacos, experiencing Air Unlimited’s hassle-free flights and exploring some of the Caribbean’s most beautiful and quaint islands.
Myth 3: Flying is Unsafe
Some travelers have a fear of flying or think airplanes are dangerous when in actuality, it’s safer than ever. In fact, 2017 marked the safest year in air travel history. Nonetheless, research shows that one in six adults have flight anxiety.
If you suffer from flight anxiety, the Air Unlimited team has pulled together some helpful tips and tricks for overcoming your fears, available here. Our aircrew is always dedicated to making each of our guests feel comfortable and confident!
Myth 4: It’s Too Hard to Fly with Pets
Pet owners often struggle with the question of what to do with their pets while they travel. As many people find it hard to bring their pets on commercial flights, they might choose to hire a pet sitter or boarding facility to watch over their furry friends. Yet, this doesn’t always have to be the case. Air Unlimited offers pet-friendly flights, allowing you to bring your pet directly in-cabin with you. You don’t have to worry about them traveling in cargo and being separated from you during the flight. Instead, you can relax knowing that they are safely seated with you.
Overall, there are many misconceptions about air travel that make it hard for travelers to determine fact from fiction. Air Unlimited is always happy to share our knowledge in aviation to shed some light on the truth. The Health Benefits of Taking a Relaxing Vacation
Studies have concluded that taking a relaxing vacation can have major health benefits. Relaxing vacations help people lower their stress levels and increase their energy. This means taking time off work might be exactly what you need to feel renewed and refreshed. Air Unlimited offers the ultimate travel experience for people looking to relax with its hassle-free booking, convenient and comfortable private flight options, and tropical destinations.
Planning a trip like this isn’t just luxurious, it’s also beneficial for your well-being. Studies show that vacations can relieve mental and physical stress, in turn, preventing serious health concerns, such as heart disease and high blood pressure. Lowered stress levels are also known to help with focus and concentration, meaning a relaxing vacation could make you more productive upon your return. On the flip side, continuous work, without quality breaks, is proven to make people feel blocked, tired and unmotivated over time.
Traveling is also great for physical health, as it keeps you moving and active. Even if you have to sit in a car or plane to reach your destination, you quickly get back on your feet once you’ve arrived. Vacationers typically like to explore, taking in the experiences around them by walking, biking, swimming or booking an activity or excursion.
Another key benefit of travel is its ability to improve your mood during and after your trip. While on vacation, your happiness is shared with your travel companions, helping you bond with family and friends to create memories for a lifetime. These effects can extend past the duration of your trip too, as research shows that regular vacationers report feeling happier every day.
If you’re looking to take advantage of these health benefits and more, Air Unlimited flies daily to the Abacos in the Bahamas, offering the perfect opportunity to take a relaxing vacation. We strive to make every trip as carefree as possible, offering free luggage (up to 40 lbs.), free valet parking and quick check-in. Travel Organization Tips for Your Next Flight to the Abacos
Many people dread packing for a trip and end up waiting until the last minute to prepare their suitcase. This procrastination often means rushing to pack a bag and accidentally forgetting important items. That’s why Air Unlimited is offering travel organization tips to help people easily and efficiently pack their luggage for a carefree vacation. Here are some of our best tips for making your next packing experience a success:
Plan Ahead
- Taking the time to organize your items can set you up for a relaxing vacation, without any hiccups. Before packing, know the requirements and restrictions for your trip. If you’re flying with Air Unlimited, you can bring any items that are in compliance with the FAA regulations. You are also allowed to bring your own alcohol and drinks, and luggage travels free up to 40 pounds on any of our flights. This is not always the case at commercial airlines, so it’s important to check your carrier’s rules ahead of time.
- It’s also helpful to research your destination, so you can pack in accordance with local regulations, weather patterns and popular tourist activities. For example, many places in the Abacos don’t accept credit cards, so travelers should bring cash for buying local goods and excursion packages. The islands are also known to be a tropical paradise, so we recommend packing a bathing suit and plenty of sunscreen!
Keep it Simple
- Packing can seem like a daunting task, so keeping it simple is key. Don’t overwhelm yourself by packing items you don’t need. Stick to basic colors and fabrics, so you can mix-and-match outfits easily and consolidate your clothing. If you get cold easily, bring one jacket that goes with all of your outfits, so you won’t have to pack several. Similarly, limit the number of shoes that you need to bring by finding ones that will coordinate with multiple outfits.
Pack Like A ‘Pro’
- In addition to planning and simplifying your luggage, there are several travel organization tips that will have you packing like a ‘pro’ in no time. For example, you can keep your suitcase clean by packing shoes inside of shower caps, dryer sheets inside of jean pockets, and empty grocery bags for stashing dirty or wet items in. You can also save space by rolling your clothes, instead of folding them, and by packing heavier items at the bottom of your luggage and lighter items on top.
Using these tips, we hope you are ready to start packing for a memorable trip to the Abacos with Air Unlimited. Our crew is always happy to provide additional tips and tricks to make your next vacation the best yet, so give us a call any time! You can reach us at (407) 585-4300 with questions or book your reservation online at flyairunlimited.com.

Our Commuter Planes Have Unlimited Flights to the Abacos
Did you know that most 135/air taxi services don’t have commuter status? This means they are limited in the number of trips they can schedule each week, making it hard to be a go-to airline for travelers looking to book a trip. Here at Air Unlimited, we are proud to be a certified commuter, so we can offer our guests unlimited flights to the Abacos in our commuter planes.
Receiving commuter air carrier status wasn’t an easy, overnight process. It took planning, a high standard of operations, and communication with several regulated agencies. This energy was certainly worth it though, as Air Unlimited now sets itself apart from the rest. In fact, there aren’t a large number of airlines operating with commuter status in the country, due to the lengthy process and financial requirements involved.
While the commuter experience is often fun and light-hearted for travelers and aircrew alike, the behind-the-scenes effort that it takes to become certified for these trips is hard work. Nonetheless, the application was a valuable tool in helping Air Unlimited evaluate key areas of our services, such as how many flights we offer each week, the consistency of our scheduled travel, the occupancy of each trip, the number of planes in our fleet and the destinations in route of service. Additionally, the application was a great forum for us to detail the next year of business, planning our long-term goals and strategies for all areas of the company.
Everything the application measured, from the diversity and reliability of our services to our sustainability for the future, have always been core values for Air Unlimited. Thus, we looked at the application as a great exercise for our team to check in with our company fundamentals.
Throughout the process, we showcased Air Unlimited’s healthy finances, consistent maintenance, expert data-tracking, and top-notch safety measures. We worked with leading government agencies to prove our continuous commitment to guests and outlined an impressive plan for Air Unlimited’s future. Thanks to our team’s hard work, we’re proud to have received commuter status!
For our valued guests, Air Unlimited’s certified commuter planes are ready to take you to the beautiful Abacos any day of the week! Book your flight today online or by calling (407) 585-4300.

Taking a Flight to the Abaco Islands During Sea Turtle Nesting Season – Here’s What to Know
Sea turtle nesting season goes through the end of October, so travelers booking an upcoming flight to the Abaco Islands should know what to do if they encounter a nest during their trip. With sea turtles officially listed as an endangered species, it’s critical that they are treated with caution by locals and tourists alike. Air Unlimited can share with you what you need to know about these spectacular creatures and how you can help protect them, not only during nesting season but year-round.
While visiting the Abaco Islands, you may choose to go snorkeling in the tropical reefs, where you may spot a sea turtle enjoying the clear waters of the Bahamas. As exciting as it is to swim alongside a sea turtle, refrain from touching them or interfering with their habitat. Instead, take in this amazing experience from a distance and keep an eye out for their paddle-shaped flippers, large shells and marked colorings, which are unique to each sea turtle species.
When strolling along the sandy beaches during nesting season, there is the chance of coming across sea turtle eggs. Touching the eggs could be harmful to the turtles, so stay back from the nest to avoid accidentally disrupting it. If you see the mother nearby, stand still and allow her to travel easily around her nest. At nighttime, any artificial light, such as a phone, camera or flashlight could confuse the turtles from following the natural moonlighting, so be prepared to embrace the dark around a nesting space. If you have the once-in-a-lifetime experience to encounter the eggs while they are hatching, walk carefully in the sand to avoid stepping on the baby turtles, as they journey toward the sea. These tiny turtles will be working their way to the waves, where they can take their very first swim.
We hope you have the opportunity to see these beautiful creatures during your next trip to the islands. Not only are they majestic, but they are also vital to the health of the oceans. Sea turtles graze on seagrass and jellyfish populations, control sponge distribution and transport nutrients across the water.
Whether its nesting season or not, taking a flight to the Abaco Islands is the first step toward your chance of enjoying these wild animals, and Air Unlimited is here to get you there! Book your flight today either online or by calling us at (407) 585-4300.

Earn Your Pilot Wings on a Memorable Flight to the Abacos
Whether it’s piloting a short flight to the Abacos or leading an aircrew on a long-distance journey, all pilots have had to earn their ‘wings.’ Wings are a recognized badge in the aviation industry that pilots proudly wear on their uniforms. This emblem has an interesting history and is designed for everything from representing a pilot’s license to serving as a charming memento!
The crew at Air Unlimited knows how special it feels to earn a pair of pilot wings, as many of our team members started their fascination for aviation as a child, dreaming of the day they’d earn their own badge. Now, this day can come sooner for youth that feels passionate about flying, thanks to our Junior Pilot Program. Through this program, families can register their kids to have the rare chance to sit in the cockpit with the pilot during their flight to the Abaco Islands and experience spectacular views from the front of the plane, all while learning about the wonders of air travel. Afterward, children co-pilots receive a certificate with a commemorative photo, a souvenir, and their very own pilot wings.
The meaning of pilot wings goes back to the early 1900s when one of the first commercial airlines started scheduling passenger services, making crew uniforms come into fashion. As part of their uniform, pilots started wearing shiny, specialty wings to showcase their qualifications. Around the same time, military aviation became prominent during World War I, and soldiers started earning their wings based on their flight experience, rank, and accomplishments. In both commercial and military aviation, the design of a pilot’s wings distinguished their seniority or merit, thus changing in color, material, embellishments, and patterns based on its intended purpose. To this day, earning wings is a significant and exciting moment for any pilot, considering the hours of hard work, schooling, in-flight training and experience required to receive this token of achievement.
Knowing the valued history and meaning behind pilot wings, we want to share this special keepsake with young passengers and inspire their love for aviation through the Junior Pilot Program. Register children for this unique experience for just $50, and you can enjoy an unforgettable flight to the Abaco Islands. Interested parties should call our team directly at (407) 585-4300.

National Aviation Day: From History’s First Flight to Today’s Luxury Aircraft Charters
We’ve come a long way since the first airplane was flown in 1903. Today, we have everything from large commuter planes and first-class aircraft charters to powerful air force jets – all safer, faster and sleeker than ever before. To celebrate this remarkable progress in aviation, we’re observing National Aviation Day on August 19th.
Why August 19th? It’s the birthday of Orville Wright, one of the Wright brothers who invented and flew the first airplane. From his original flight owning the sky, we now have more than 9,700 planes and 1 million people in the sky at any given time, according to flight tracking service, FlightAware. That’s a lot of air travel each day!
To celebrate National Aviation Day, Air Unlimited wants you to consider taking a journey into the past, present, and future of air travel. Below, are some of our tips for enjoying the day and recognizing the gift of aviation.
- Take a Destination Flight
- There’s no better way to celebrate National Aviation Day than hopping on a plane, enjoying the bird’s eye view and landing in paradise. To make sure your trip is hassle-free from start to finish, Air Unlimited offers quick reservations, free valet parking, fast check-in, short lines and a comfortable, private waiting area. In flight, each of the nine seats feature window-views and plenty of leg room. In just over an hour, you’ll land in the beautiful and tropical Abaco Islands. You can also reserve one of our aircraft charters to fly anywhere in the U.S.
- Learn More About Aviation
- To learn more about the history and future of aviation, visit a local aircraft museum or science center featuring planes. Consider checking out aviation books at your favorite library or renting an exciting aviation movie. You could even take an introductory flight lesson.
- Inspire Your Kids to Appreciate Flight
- Many of today’s pilots became fascinated with aviation at a young age. At Air Unlimited, we hope to inspire the young passengers with our Junior Pilot Program. Registered kids fly in the cockpit with the pilot, experience stunning views from the front of the plane and learn about air travel. These kids walk away from their aircraft charter or commuter flight with a certificate, photos, a souvenir, and their very own pilot wings.
No matter how you choose to spend National Aviation Day, we hope you can celebrate the wonder of flight on this special holiday!

Scared of flying? Try these tips before your next trip out of the Orlando-Sanford International Airport!
A fear of flying is something that at least one in every six adults deals with. It is perfectly normal to feel uncomfortable before and during a flight, but Air Unlimited strives to help their guests enjoy the entire flight experience from their private hangar at the Orlando-Sanford International Airport. Flight time to the beautiful Abaco islands is just over an hour, and the tips below can help you stay calm so you can enjoy a relaxing vacation from the moment you step into Air Unlimited’s hangar.
One helpful tip for a fear of flying is to simply acknowledge your fear and learn ways to control it. If you feel anxious, allow yourself to feel that way, while reassuring yourself that it’s perfectly okay to have these feelings, instead of trying to fight the anxiety. At that point, you can work to build your confidence in knowing that you will get through your flight experience using positive thoughts and deep breathing techniques to combat any anxious tendencies, such as shallow breathing. Trying active meditation practices can help distract your mind from the anxiety and bring a sense of calm to your body. Focus on the deep breaths you’re taking and try listening to guided meditation to help you relax.
At Air Unlimited, guests have an opportunity to meet the pilot prior to their flight and talk to them about their anxieties. This advantage allows guests to address any worries they have, educate themselves about the flight and what to expect during the ride, as well as get to know and trust the pilot before take-off. This can help bring them relief as they prepare to board the flight. The pilots are also accessible during the flight to keep you updated on weather patterns and flight times that can bring you peace of mind.
Distractions are a great way to feel better in almost any situation. As a guest on a plane, taking off, turbulence, and landing can be moments of high anxiety. Listening to music or watching a movie during these times is a great way to focus on something else besides the plane. Additionally, Air Unlimited’s intimate seating allows guests to easily interact with other riders, including any of their friends, family members or pets that are along for the ride. Talking and engaging with others can be a great distraction and social experience. If these tips aren’t working, try multitasking during the flight. For example, eating a snack while working on a crossword puzzle can help take your mind off of things at a deeper level than just passively listening to music, so try to stay busy.
To be even more proactive in combatting your flight anxiety, you can begin preparing for a flight well before you are at the hangar. The morning of your flight, try to avoid caffeine because this may end up making you jittery, which can amplify your feelings of anxiety. Stretching or meditating before you leave the house can prepare you to hold onto those calming feelings during your flight. This is also a great time to focus on your breathing and keep those long deep breaths throughout the day.
Rest assured that you can fly in peace with the experienced pilots flying with Air Unlimited who can get you to paradise in just over an hour. There’s no need to worry about getting to the airport early to stand in long lines and deal with airport security. Air Unlimited’s staff greets every guest with a smile for an easy, check-in process that sets you up for a relaxing direct flight to the Abacos. Call Air Unlimited at 407-585-4300 to book your flight today.

From Kenya to Flights to the Abaco Islands
Alan Rodney Griffin has lived all over the globe, and three of his passions have remained consistent throughout his travels: aviation, Africa and his faith. There were many times over the course of his career where these passions overlapped in his work as a pilot. Air Unlimited is happy to have this seasoned pilot offering flights to the Abaco Islands from the Orlando-Sanford International Airport.
Alan’s passion for flying started when he was just 11 years old. He watched a film strip about missionaries who were killed in Ecuador with Nate Saint as their pilot. Saint’s bravery and commitment inspired Alan at a very young age, and he strived to consistently embody these traits throughout his career. He began his journey to become a pilot in 1968 after leaving his home in the UK to live in South Africa. He began teaching at St. Mary’s School in Nairobi where he taught the current President of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta. He tirelessly worked and saved up enough money to pursue his dreams.
By 1974 he received his private pilot license in Kenya. Alan, a man of many passions, knew it was time to move on to his next goal. Before he was able to teach in Nairobi, Alan had to go through a teacher training course. He was satisfied with this career, but he had aspirations to attend a university and expand his knowledge of aviation, which would provide more opportunities. One year after earning his private pilot license, Alan moved to Texas to attend Le Tourneau University. This was the start of even greater things for Alan. He received a Bachelor of Science in aviation and bible studies, met his wife Ruth and began working at the Gregg County Airport in Longview, Texas.
His commitment to aviation education led Alan back to Africa once again. He continued his flight training and worked in commercial aviation in Kenya. During his time there, Alan used every flight as a learning experience. This is a method of thought he still practices to this day.
Now, Alan, Ruth and their two oldest children live in Orlando. Alan’s newest venture is working with Air Unlimited piloting flights to the Abaco Islands. As a contract pilot, he has made many flights to the Abaco Islands, but he is looking forward to traveling there for pleasure instead of work. Prior to working with Air Unlimited, Alan had only visited Treasure Cay, Staniel Cay and Exuma for a photoshoot of the EADS Socata TBM 850, a high performance single engine turboprop.
In Alan’s many successful years as a pilot, he has yet to visit one destination that he can call his absolute favorite. He does have one major life goal in mind, though. New Zealand is more than 8,000 miles from Orlando over open ocean, but with dedication, Alan hopes to find a way to pilot a plane there. He has more goals on the horizon like piloting more gliders, amphibian flying, and learning how to fly a helicopter. It’s easy for him to stay motivated and inspired while working with Air Unlimited. He also keeps a healthy work-life balance and spends time gardening, exercising, helping his church, and of course being a couch potato when the opportunity presents itself.
Keep an eye out for Alan on your next flight to the Abaco Islands! If you’re looking for a good story, don’t hesitate to ask him about his many travels abroad.

The Best Fall Travel Tip of the Year: Book an On-Demand Charter Service
For most of the country, fall is a magical time when the leaves change colors and temperatures drop. It’s one of the most beautiful times to explore the great outdoors and begin new traditions with the people you love. However, delayed flights and anything-but-friendly fellow travelers can start your vacation off on the wrong foot. An on-demand charter service ensures accurate flight times, no layovers and the privacy of having an Air Unlimited aircraft just for you and your party.
A private plane may seem a bit over-the top, but when you consider the hassle of flying with children or a larger group, the benefits are significant. Floridians dream of seeing the leaves change, instead of another dropping palm frond. Apple picking would be a great family outing, if only they could stand our extreme heat long enough to stay on the branch. Why not fly off to enjoy the true fall season? An on-demand charter service can take you from point A (hot and humid) to point B (cool and crisp) for the perfect fall getaway.
The fall season begins on September 22nd and ends just before the busiest time of the year on December 21st. With the exception of Thanksgiving weekend, fall has some of the most affordable lodging fees of the year. It’s the perfect excuse to get out of town. Because your flight will already be taken care of through Air Unlimited’s on-demand charter service, you’ll just need to keep an eye out for hotel fares. This is easier than ever with tools like Price Watch on Hotels.com and Kayak.com’s Price Alert. Just pick the city and dates you’ll be there, and let them do the rest. They will let you know the right time to book and even send you predictions for when prices are expected to drop.
One very important fall travel tip, especially for those of you who aren’t used to cold weather, is to always wear sunscreen and moisturize as much as you can. The weather might be cool enough to stay outside all day, but those pesky UVA and UVB rays are ever-present. With the lack of humidity, your skin can dry out very quickly. A little dry skin isn’t a huge problem, but once your knuckles become so dry they crack, you’ll have a tough problem on your hands — literally. It’s always smart to keep a travel-sized lotion in your bag when you set out on a fall adventure. Something like this Nivea travel-sized tin can keep you comfortable all day long.
Wherever your destination may be, Air Unlimited is here to show you that flying doesn’t have to be a hassle. With their luxury on-demand charter flights, you can enjoy your trip from take-off to touchdown. Call today for an on-demand charter service quote at 407-585-4300.

Dave Owen: From Flight School to Aircraft Charter
Aviation has always been important to Air Unlimited Pilot, Dave Owen, so it was no surprise that he enrolled in private pilot ground school at just 16 years old. His grandparents opened the very first airport in his hometown of Wabash, IN, and Dave spent much of his time there watching and learning anything he could. After completing ground school, Dave planned to continue his education and attend flight school, but was unable to afford it at the time. After a few years of hard work and a strict money-saving plan, he was finally able to continue following his dreams, and he graduated from flight school at the young age of 26. This gave him the necessary experience and qualifications to fly everything Air Unlimited offers, from scheduled service to aircraft charters.
While never letting his passion for flying falter, Dave also decided he wanted to follow another passion path he had grown up envisioning. He worked in law enforcement for many years, keeping his community safe. Once he retired from the police force, he knew it was time to make aviation his life priority once again. Dave feels like he truly found his place at Air Unlimited and definitely isn’t complaining about the perks of the job. He had never been to the Abacos before joining the Air Unlimited team, but island life quickly became something he fell in love with. He began embracing his adventurous side and started boating, water skiing and even barefoot skiing, every chance he had. In fact, he loves water skiing so much that he’d love to become a coach in the unlikely event that he ever loses his passion for flying. However, enjoying island life isn’t the only part of the job that Dave loves. He says the customers and his colleagues at Air Unlimited are what make the job outstanding.
Dave also keeps a very healthy work-life balance, which is important while working in one of the most stressful industries in America. He always tries to go swimming or work out after particularly stressful days and take many vacations with his family. Dave’s perfect vacation would be anywhere in the world with his wife and all of his kids. He has vacationed in Treasure Cay and Green Turtle Cay, and he can’t wait to explore more local towns during his time off. He also hopes to bring his dogs on the next vacation, as they are now “seasoned” flight dogs.
Dave says his next destination will be anywhere that has plenty of sun, sand and surf. Lucky for him, Air Unlimited is expanding its service to North Eleuthera in the Bahamas Out Islands in April 2018. Look for Dave on your next flight with Air Unlimited!

Best Gadgets To Have For A Flight To The Bahamas
What can make your 90-minute flight to the Bahamas even better? Gadgets! As you settle into one of Air Unlimited’s comfy aircraft cabins and sink into the over-sized loungers, you’ll want a few gadgets to keep you energized and powered up for your vacation. From headphones, to solar powered backpacks to an E-reader, we’ve got it all. Check out these top must have gadgets below.
Headphones
There are hundreds of headphones on the market today – in-ear, over-ear, waterproof, noise cancelling, rechargeable and the list goes on. A good choice for a flight to the Bahamas is the Audio-Technica ATH-ANC33iS QuietPoint Active Noise-Cancelling Headphones. It is budget friendly and perfect for when packing light on a trip. They cancel up to 90% of noise so you can enjoy your favorite playlist.
Power Bank
After listening to music for an hour on your smartphone, your battery is bound to drain. The Anker PowerCore 10000 is a great gadget to have in your bag helping to keep you powered up all through the flight and long after you land in the Abacos. This is another budget friendly gadget, so you won’t have to worry about breaking the bank before you’re even on your vacation. This power bank is about the size of a credit card so it can easily fit into any bag or your pocket.
Solar Backpack
If you want a portable charging option that’s more versatile than a power bank, the BirkSun bookbag is the way to go. This water-resistant backpack comes with a built-in 3,000 MAH battery you can charge separately and a solar panel that creates 1% phone charge for every two minutes in sunlight. For all day adventures, such as beach hopping in Treasure Cay, this bag will hold a towel, sunscreen, two water bottles and more all while using sustainable energy to keep your phone charged all day.
E-reader
A 90-minute flight is the perfect excuse to get lost in a book while flying over the Atlantic. The Kindle Paperwhite E-reader is a great option allowing you to enjoy your favorite book without a glare. The Kindle is lightweight and only six inches tall, so it’s very easy to transport. The battery charge lasts for weeks, so if your ideal vacation looks like lying on the beach with a book and a tropical drink, the Kindle will be there every step of the way.

Why Air Unlimited’s Co-Founder Dreams of Flying His Private Jet to Europe
Charles “Chick” Gregg is co-owner and captain at Air Unlimited, and anyone who speaks with him can immediately see that he has a true passion for flying. A lover of all things plane-related, Chick knew he wanted to be a pilot as a small boy while flying right seat with his father.
After graduating from UF with a degree in civil engineering, Chick began his flying career at 27 years old piloting a Bonanza, visiting job sites across the southeast US. After many years of owning and running successful businesses in construction and homebuilding, while enjoying his love of recreational flying, retirement came early. It was then that his flying passion turned into a new career.
Having traveled to the Bahamas many times over the last 30 years, Chick had a deep connection with the island life, especially the Bahama’s best kept secret: The Abaco Islands. Knowing the travel industry lacked reliable transportation directly to and from these scenic islands, Chick joined forces with co-founder, Mark Neubauer, to launch Air Unlimited Charter Services. This airline brand is complete with an aircraft fleet that flies guests from the Orlando Sanford International Airport directly to Marsh Harbour and Treasure Cay in the Abaco Islands in less than 90 minutes without the “big airport” hassle. Aside from the scheduled island service, Air Unlimited is also known for its customizable and dependable charter service, featuring a private jet where you can often find Chick positioned in the left seat as Captain.
Chick has always loved to travel, so being able to pilot his own private jet to Hope Town, or take his family to one of the nearby famous sights in the Abacos, is just another perk of the job.
On any given day, you can find Chick sitting behind the desk at his airport office working the numbers for the business or solving problems, and always wearing many hats. “Our customers are the reason I continue to work hard to improve Air Unlimited’s service each day,” said Chick. “They often become like family.”
Another favorite “job” he routinely performs is quoting and piloting charter and private jet flights.
Chick is committed to growing new services, such as their Organ Transport Medical Flights. “These flights are making a difference in people’s lives, which we take very seriously,” said Chick. “The responsibility means a lot to our entire team.”
When Chick isn’t flying, he’s usually still thinking about flying – as a true pilot would do. In his spare time, he is building an aircraft with his three sons. Chick is dedicated to his work, but he does know how to relax and often travels to his home in Colorado with his wife, Lisa, and their two yellow labs, who travel in style, thanks to their “pilot dad.” While there, he enjoys relaxing, as well as skiing and entertaining friends. He frequently enjoys spending time with his four children and their spouses, four grandchildren and his amazing mother-in-law. Closer to home, Chick’s other go-to destination is his farm in Georgia, where he flies routinely with his brother and other good friends to hunt or work the land.
Chick and Lisa enjoy traveling nationally and internationally, often with groups of friends to celebrate important milestones. Chick’s list of destinations is quite extensive, but says his favorite trip involves visiting Napa Valley, California.
While Air Unlimited’s focus is on flights to the Abacos, Chick’s dream destination is to pilot his private jet to Europe with his wife. He has the ambition and the tools so it probably won’t be long before it becomes the Gregg’s next big adventure!
